Prince Stefanus, day 2

I've received a missive by my father! I'm accused of the crimes of:
1. "interaction with the impure", because of my marriage with the elven Princess Sarah.
2. "causing a riot and treason", by financing and leading rebels
3. "high treason", and the other wizards of Egregion will like this, because I've "delayed the extermination of lower spawn such as orcs and goblins".

In the meanwhile on the continent my father's armies march on, unstoppable. Well at least, I guess, soon I'll be without a negative treasury! ... No, not really. The few towns that have turned towards me have all the gold income around them, as well as Purius' big armies bee lining towards them. I am afraid that this rebellion will be short lived on its own.

What do the "lower spawn" think of this? Will you join me or will you look at my rebels' massacre, to then be the next in line for ethnic cleansing?

Oh, running a rebellion is hard. My treasury is so short of money that my troops are looking at me with daggers in the eyes. I'm so desperate that I end up exploring a decrepit island where I find a dread reaper, no less! Luckily, the monster is not very bright and runs after my faster hero for quite some time, while two pirates whittle it down. Until suddenly, just when I've grown complacent it suddenly goes for the pirates! Luckily it's almost over now and despite the loss of an unlucky sod, we're victorius and my treasury can last another day....

Praise be to Lolth, the Queen of the Demonweb Pits, Mistress of Chaos

What is an army without generals? Nothing. They anchor the battle, project my influence and magic into far off lands, and provide that crucial leadership that gives heart to the lesser warriors. I am fortunate to have such loyal and capable generals. From Dalvania and Lady Bane in the south, to my brutish gardener here by my side, the heroes that lead my troops are the key to my victory. Though our engagements this day were few, they were flawlessly executed, with my spiders in particular proving highly adept at battlefield control.

But they are not enough. I need more, for as the heroes flock to my side, so to shall the fodder. I send my war parties out in all directions. Their orders? To search every Inn, every lair and den, every rogue shack and dungeon to find new heroes to lead my armies. Only then shall we read over the latest dispatches regarding the royal family feud. The surface races are ever fighting amongst themselves, which only makes them easier targets. In such anarchy do the followers of the Spider Queen find their truest calling, their best opportunities. The leaders of both sides may not see the strands at first, but the web is being cast. Subtly, slowly, cord by cord, into a noose for all.

My father's armies are simply unstoppable. All those heroes and all those elite troops! There's only one way to tackle this: asymmetrical warfare. Wherever I see a weakness I strike, wherever I see strength... I die, because by when I see it it's alreday charging at me. This approach gives me a small, extremely close phyrric victory that will last exactly two days, but that will let me sell Eregion's harbour and keep the seas free for a small while more.

On the diplomatic front, on the other hand, things are... Even worse? Apparently I am the only one concerned with the "extermination of the lower spawn", anyone not human, that the emperor is pursuing...

That was much closer than I thought Southern!

Matron Mother Godiva, High Priestess of the Drow, Day 3

Another day, another strand woven. Today the flies caught were both numerous and juicy, their very lifeforce furnishing the advancement of my troops experience. The caverns of the Underdark are littered with ruins, crypts, and other sites ripe for treasure hunting, and my loyal generals acquired several items of use, as well as sufficient gold to fund the hiring of a frostling mercenary.

We hear whispers on the wind, the laments of the Prince. He calls out for allies, apparently. Would he even want the help of the drow? For such aid comes ever with a price. In any case, we currently lack any formal diplomatic relations with any of the other powers of these lands, either above or below. We must forge our way through the tunnels on our own for now, remembering our strategy, our creed, our salvation. Grow in the shadows, strike only when necessary and then let your strike be swift and merciless, and withdraw, without a trace.

Goblins, Day 3

We sacrifice more of our limited troops to gain gold. We feel like we're turning into damn dwarves with their lust for metal.

More interestingly, our sole hero of note met his namesake which makes no sense. I'm sure town criers will try to explain the meaning to me, but I usually just stick them on a spear and roast them for dinner. Who has time for crying.

Oh my! Gosso, the mix goblin/orc/elf/human (no one is quite sure) belly dancer is legendary and deservedly so. My Sarah, the elven princess, is the epitome of virginal beauty of course. Gosso is exactly the opposite, but no, not of beauty - of virginal. Mmmm that belly... Sarah, I am yours only but this distance relationship takes a toll, human life is shorter than elven!

And what's this? I just land on an island where the sign reads, 'the legendary pirate Bloody Jane, who said to have "crushed seventeen men's skulls between me thighs!" (Eleven confirmed...)' Wait, the prison's defended by cannons, an army worthy of a capital's garrison, headed by a chaplain? Wow these thighs deserve some investigation! Maybe later though...

I hear the rumours of the drow wondering if I would want their help? If it were for the despot, cross-breeds like Gosso would be exterminated, and my, would that be a loss for the people! Any help to prevent that is welcome. Besides, I hear that your ladies have a penchant for chains and leather... Sarah! Sarah! Focus, Stefanus, focus!!

Kim is close but not enough ethnic cleansing... Now that I think of it, Threekings might be role-playing the dwarf with his utter silence X-p
