I hope someone has a link to get the manual for shadow magic as it would help everyone out. Why the game does not have the manual already is just laziness.

It's an appendix (62 pages) to the AoW2 manual. It deals mostly with new unit/spells/etc stats and a chapter about the new editor.

Yes i realize this appendix is out there but i am inquiring as too the actual manual for shadow magic. Its out there somewhere.

all you would have to do is scan it and put it in pdf format and post it in the forum. its not that hard to do.

Are you saying that the actual and entire manual for Age of Wonders Shadow Magic is contained within the AoW2 manual?

How and why would it be done this way? Makes no sense, since at the time that AoW2 came out, Shadow Magic did not yet exist.

Maybe what you are saying is that the commands and similar vital information about game mechanics are identical between the two games?

As far as I know Age of Wonders Shadow Magic was first planned as an expansion, but then released as a standalone. From the technical view the differences between both are small, so maybe they released Shadow Magic with the original manual and added an appendix. Just my guess.

I haven't the faintest idea whether there is or there is not a complete self-contained manual for AoW. Some folks here have acknowledged the existence of such document, but apparently nobody found a download link for it, or a pdf to share.
The only thing close to a manual for AoWSM I could find is this other document, and I guessed it could be the real thing because it starts at chapter 9, and AoW2 manual ends at chapter 8. I can't really say if there is no difference in play between AoW2 and AoWSM, because I'm still in the middle of AoW1 campaign, sorry.

It might be a rights issue. If you look at the quick start guides on Steam, they're watermarked with, "Age of Wonders Trilogy," meaning someone recently took the time to put them together. To me, that says Triumph Studios, for whatever reason, can't publish the original documents and had to supply new "quick start" guides.
