I've been playing a PBEM game with a friend of mine. When we defeated the undead, dark elves, goblins and orcs in Pride of a princess. They quickly disbandoned our alliance.

Now I looked at relationships and the halflings and highmen seem to have turned to the dark side! It's really strange. Maybe it's fixed next turn but it's bizarre. As if the halflings and highmen were secretly of the evil side all along.

Was it a user created scenario from heavengames or a stock map? If user created, perhaps the author put in some type of scripted event for their evil hearts to surface eventually.

It was a user created scenario from heavengames. That's pretty funny actually that they did that. We were so close to winning the game... But we'll crush them both.
Check your version numbers, bottom right of the title screen. If your run different versions of the game (i.e. someone has the 1.36 patch and someone else doesn't) then you get this behaviour.
Hmm will do.

Edit: It seems we both have the the same version.
