here is my mod with new units - its fork of Southern mod. So far new units are imba.

touch up skeleton infantry heads (they look like mushrooms not skulls) // not as big impact as i presume, i have it somewhere.

dark elf need flyer (gargoyle?) // new rooster full, and looks good imo
touch up dwarven ballon and air galley, the tips of ballon looks to pointy. //immpossible to do geometric shape touch up for me
make a classic. non diringer, ballon, as a unit in Builders Guild. // remove propeller and recolor - yeah im cheap
sprites are quite copy/paste. fire elemental looks like joke

no ram -> bomber wall crushing without suicide

No, as mentioned in the AoW+ thread, it just gives me many, many access violations

Unit graphics

The Minotaur looks good except it doesn't look like a minotaur at all. In Greek mythology, the Minotaur has the body of a human and the head (and tail I guess) of a bull. Apart from the colours I liked your Troll-with-horns mockup much better. (I don't actually mind the Satyr body too much, but the Boar head really doesn't fit.)

its works!! my lovely reptile.

problem was with not a 8 bit BMP pictures. I would make now LIBs for all my files.

You mean the heads should be more apart? Well 64x pix is a tight space to fix 3 heads.
yeah agree, it could more smooth out. I try to work with brush. But first i would like to see her in action. I belive the unit is too tiny to bother anyway.

good she looks amazing. But its probably because i draw her :D

the neck - body joint place it too small to notice. All the animation is unnoticable in normal game (as I expect).

I just had a look at the race ILBs and they do indeed pose a major problem. AoWCGE can't handle them at all and I can't get any other tools to work, either. ILBEditor can export full ILBs and then create new ILBs from those exported files, but when I try to load a created ILB in AoW the game crashes. And ILB Maker seems to have a bug that causes the Create ILB button to be greyed out. Although it seems ILB Maker works for some people so I'm not sure what's going on here.

Maybe you can try to contact the creator of ILB Maker Erich Simon aka. Dhuval. I found his contact information in this old AoW Heaven thread but of course it might be outdated.

I mean that the direction the heads are facing is the problem. When the Hydra faces south, the heads face southwest, south, and southeast, and this looks fine. But when the Hydra faces southeast, the heads face south, southeast, and northeast, while where they should be facing is south, southeast, and east. But of course there are no graphics for heads facing east or west since AoW has only six directions. I don't think the Hydra will ever look really good unless you paint those missing directions yourself. On the bright side, it sems to me that heads facing east and west should be much easier to paint than any other direction.

I do agree however that when the heads are facing the right direction, and when you can't see the neck-torso-transition, the Hydra does look fantastic.

before i mail this dude, would be reasonable to check why the ilb maker dont work. I have a feeling that the graphic swap can be done in other way (because this programs are hacking the libs just in accessible for non-haxor way).

i understand your point about hydra (left right head facing, and neck), but i dont feel like redrawing this stuff would increase the quality of the unit in noticeable way. All units are very tiny on my screen. Its weekend so maybe i wake up tomorrow with a zeal (but then i would mess with other stuff, or just play AoW+).

when you upgrade city, there appear dots on top of city. Anyone know where are this graphic store?

IMO:
keep stick with 1 and 0 dot as it is now.

for 2,3 4 dot stick - draw 3 towers with bigger size than the one before
