I'm in for Shadow Magic. I'll have to check to make sure I still have everything installed.

Shadow Magic it is then. Patch 1.4 for convenience (although Patch 1.5 was released over at the heavengames website recently).

I've never played PBEM before, so I am currently figuring out the email wrapper. I may have a few noob questions in that regard...

We have 4 players already, time to think of what map to use. Suggestions are welcome.

1.4 it is! I need to reinstall the email wrapper and remind myself how to use it as well. If I recall, starting a two person game against yourself is a good way to test it. The first time it checks your email it won't see the game file (weird default), but from then on it's good to go.

I'll sneak a peek at the maps when I'm supposed to be working today. What is your game playing email address? Personally, I created one just for AoW so that I wouldn't clutter my real email addresses.

Looks good! Free for all is always fun. No allied victories allowed which will mean "gang up on Mimo" to start. (Yes, I'm starting the psychological warfare already. Woe is me. Why does everyone pick on me.)

You want me to kick it off in the next 24 hours or so? Or would you like the privilege as the organizer? Scroll down a few pages of threads to get all of our emails and the usual rules. (You've gotta pause before backstabbing anyone. Even in a free for all.)

Please do kick it off for me! I am too busy trying to get the damn wrapper to open. It opened fine the first time, now it disappears and shows only in the Task Manager (consuming 0% CPU)

Edit: my bad, found it; not sure why it was hiding from me like that. That program doesn't show in the alt-tab selection or the taskbar - had to get Task Manager to bring it to the front for me! Either way I am too inexperienced, please be the organiser!

Edit2; I found some rules for PBEM etiquette, but not your emails.

PBEM etiquette rules are pretty funny. I've never even figured out how to use some of the cheats that it bans. I'm either not devious enough (can't be the case) or I'm just not clever enough (more likely scenario).

Hm, it was surprisingly easy. At least I hope so. I just fired up the Wrapper, re-entered my e-mail login and it seems to be working.
Hopefully it really is.

You better not post your e-mail address so publicly. It could be taken by bots and used for spam.
We used to post it mostly in format similar to this: "name [at] domain". @ replaced by "at" in brackets and with spaces in there.

Darnit. I want AoW 1. =(

PM Southern. He's probably willing to try a game there with your too. Just find a map where the two of you can work together as a first map before you roll him with your Dwarven Giants and such. :-)
