Is there an easy way to find and select idle military units?

If anyone has played for example age of mythology you would know that is a banner that shows idle military units and villagers.

This game does has a way to find your idle builders but I couldn't find anything about military units.

Wasting time looking for them from the mini map is... well, a waste of time.

Also that alt+f shortcut only selects a few units until your "cursor" can't hold anymore, so this does not help.

Am I missing something or is this just a bad game design.

I Cntrl+Number EVERY group when I start. One push of a button and I can check and see what's what.

That is not a way to find idle military units, control groups are ancient feature in RTS games, I am kinda offended that you thought I didn't know that.

So basically no way to do it. Bummer.

It would be great if someone can make a custom UI for this game and add a bunch of features.
