For no particular reason I counted the number of battles in this game while playing it. In case someone cares it was 105.
I may have missed one or two (I left a bit of the seal area unexplored when that section ended aruptly) and I may have split one or two into more than one battle (by moving my team in the wrong, or right, direction), but otherwise it should be a pretty accurate number.

Overall a good tactical RPG game (4.5 stars). Recommended.

Truth be told, I didn't actually keep count. I merely saved the game in a separate file at the end of each battle. Thus, the number of saves equalled the number of battles.

That's a lot of savegames. Good thing harddrives are so big and savefiles so small these days.
