Same here.

The text is missing or in disarray on the menu.
For example, at the beginning when is displayed the saving icon the relatively text is missing completely.
Can anyone help us?
Thank you in advance.

BUMPing this

Has anyone come up with a fix for this issue yet?
I've been trying to play this gem for a while now but this bug is a deal breaker for me personally so I've decided to wait and let it sit on my library till it's fixed. It's the very same problem tho, so if someone knows how to make it work as it was suposed to I'm sure we would be very very grateful.
I hope someone at GOG read this thread.
Cheers.

Edit for specs: R5 2600 + RTX 2060

I have the same issue, it's most probable that it has to do something with a patch that came out exactly on March 10th...

Why is noone from GoG addressing this?
I have the same problem as described in the previous posts, text is missing, buttons are shifted, does anyone had luck fixing it? Or there is someone working on this issue on GOG/dev site?

[edit] Geez the only thing required to do was to change language to english...
I usually set lang to english, after some update it must have picked up some sys setting and set lang to polish.

The bug still remains if you wish to use polish lang, but there is a work around, it might work for other languages too.

So you navigate the messy menus looking for the language and change it?

And it seems my source of my issue too. It went fine the first time, I reloaded after doing some changes in graphics and moving from spanish to french fully.

However, moving back into spanish or english doesn't fix the stuff for me.

[EDIT]
I tried erasing the cache directory, removing the sync files from GOG galaxy and still same issue.

It is feasible to "fix" it each time I start the game, but probably this the last bought from my part to anything developed by this studio.

Hello everyone, i'm having this exact issue since i upgraded to windows 11, and i found a... well it is not a good fix in any way, but at least you can see the texts.

Go to the installation folder and open the file with a text editor:

LangDef.tsc

And change the line

SetLanguage AUTO

to

SetLanguage ENGLISH

I have no idea why, but if you put other language (tried FRENCH) it stays in a bad state, and with ENGLISH it goes to Spanish (at least for me, not sure if it uses the default language of windows), but at least you can now navigate the menus.

Hope it helps someone, and if someone finds a better solution, please reply

Update: Just double checked, it goes to english, it is just the initial messages that use the systems language.

Dude, it worked. Thank you a lot.
I had a similar issue. When I noticed the bug, I thought it might be related to the language locale. Thanks for the suggestion—it worked!"
