In my review for this game I wrote that there is stuttering. This affects everyone, it's not a bug that only a few experience, you can even see it in every gameplay and review video on YouTube. Why most people don't notice it is beyond me.
Well, I found out what's going on. The game runs at solid 60 fps, but is rendering at 50Hz. If you change the refresh rate of your PC monitor to 50Hz the stuttering disapears.
I hope the developers fix this soon. Not everyone can adjust the refresh rate on their monitor, nor we should be doing that to run the game properly.
I still think the game is really good and would totally recommend it, but at the same time I think this kind of issues should not be acceptable.

Update: It's been two weeks now, two patches, and the stuttering is still there, the game keeps crashing (less often but still happens, among other minor bugs). Just wanted to say that I have requested a refund. I may buy it again in the future if I learn these issues are fixed.

I'm using a 240hz GSync/Freesync display and an AMD card that supports Freesync and Adaptive Sync. So I was able to test this out using various combinations and go interesting results. With 60hz, you can definitely seen a jutter as the animation looks to run at a different rate from the screen output.

But also, VSync off causes your little Apino character to zoom up and down on the screen and makes it nearly impossible to target things. I've uploaded a clip here:

60hz - VSync Forced Off / Enhanced Sync

Then I tried switching back to 240hz and playing with various options to see what was causing this. It's just VSync causing Apino to go zooming all over. But with anything over 60hz, the stuttering is not very apparent. I tried 240hz VSync ON, with Adaptive Sync ON/OFF and with AMD Enhanced Sync feature ON. Result is that a higher refresh makes the stuttering go away; but you still need to have VSync FORCED ON if you want Apino to work correctly.

Weird issue. I've seen problems with Enhanced Sync on some games, but this is just a plain VSync thing.

Also, for smoothness, 120hz with ELMB or any monitor specific black frame insertion seems to do well, no noticeable stutter.

I got this game on Prime Gaming and I noticed the camera stutter issue straight away. Game was playable but the issue was annoying. Today I found this guide on Steam that fixed the issue completely. Now the game runs smoothly, as it should. No idea why the developers haven't fixed this but at least this works.
