Silly me, when I saw it I thought it was the old 1869 Game......which, like all the old Maxdesign-titles, definetly need to be here!

Haven't heard of 1869 before your mention here. Looks like a good one to be part of GOG.com at some point. Make sure to add your vote to the wishlist here - http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/1869

As to 1849, I like 1849 pretty well for a casual city builder. I enjoy the production chains and upgrades which does give a nice sense of accomplishment when you can balance city needs with trade goods and the upgrades add a nice cost/return ratio decision.
