No idea how they're going to make it work or if any of the original cast will return, but I'm definitely curious. GQ is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Well, well..

And now, back again after 18 years, the new adventures of Galaxy Quest!

But will it be Galaxy Quest the TV show, like the show the characters from the movie acted in, or will it be the same mistaken identity situation as the movie?

I think the only way they'll be able to make it work is to actually make the original galaxy quest tv series as featured in the film (I doubt they'll get the cast back), and simply do it as a spoof on trek / other scifi shows complete with regular guest appearences.

I love Galaxy Quest, but it's one those things I never wanted more of. It's great, it's done, leave it be. And I don't see it working as a TV show at all. Also, I highly doubt the original cast will return, and without Allen Weaver and most of all Alan Rickman it's a lost cause. Just make a proper new Star Trek show already.

Yeah, sounds iffy. No deal unless the original cast comes back. I for one would love to see an old, coked up version of Tim Allen returning to tv.
