It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So, the section that tracks threads you posted in. There is a "show more" button in the header than you can click, which expands the list with more entries (button.png). Normally, you can only click this button twice before it disappears (button_disappear.png).

However, if you spam click it really fast, you can get it to duplicate the previous entries into the list (spamclick.png). Could this functionality be expanded to allow more than 2 clicks on the button? Being able to see further into the past would be pretty useful.

Screens attached.

I've never had this limitation. How it's always seemed to work for me is that it will keep loading "pages" indefinitely, but if any topic I've posted in gets deleted by an admin/mod, that will kind of reset things somehow with respect to this section, at least preventing me from being able to see threads I first posted in before my first post in the now-deleted topic. Off to double-check...

...and, yep, it still works. I was able to click "See more" nine times (not spam-clicking, either) before it reached its limit. That's significantly fewer times than it's let me expand the list at times in the past. I guess a thread I had posted in must've gotten deleted a few months or so ago.

I've always been able to expand it more than twice. At least until it reaches a point where it should display a thread that was deleted, then the "Show more" button disappears.

The "Hot topics" does seem to be restricted. I used to be able to expand it twice, now it seems to be three.
Hmmm, strange. I'd swear I could never click it more than twice.

I've found it varies, and suspect it is a time issue, as in if the last post in a thread I participated in is beyond some kind of time limit, then reveal stop showing it when you click the more button. At times I've certainly been able to click that more button half a dozen times or more to show past threads.

And of course, how many threads you've participated in recently would be key.

Aha! Now we know who's been DDOS'ing the GOG forums! -.-

I just had to click 25 times in a row on the "show more" button, before it vanished.
However: what I can confirm, is that the number of clicks is not always the same.

It's possible, that there have been days, where I also only could click twice...but that's an exception then, not the norm.

Hmmm, so now I can click the button 4 times, but it stops at the exact same thread as shown in the OP (Feast for Ears sale).

So the functionality breaks because it reached a thread I posted in that no longer exists?

In that case, it's an actual bug. I thought it was purposefully limited by GOG to save backend resources or whatever. But if you can load them indefinitely anyway, it'd be nice if this bug could get fixed.

As far as I know, yes. Whether this was ever confirmed by any staff member or more technically knowledgeable user, I don't remember. (If you wanted to, you could try posting in the next obvious spam thread you see, "for science," just to see it confirmed or debunked when -- or, probably more aptly, if -- the thread gets deleted.)

Maybe someone can get jpolgesek (or whatever the name is) to look into it. Though, to be honest, I've never found this bug to be more than a fairly mild annoyance -- especially compared to some we've had. The "you have to reload the 'My posts' page an indeterminate, but always non-zero, number of times before it will actually show what it's supposed to instead of just the GOGbear" bug is way worse, and seems to have been complained about by way more people.
A submenu, accessible by clicking on one's name, that provides a full list of topics participated in, would be a welcoming feature. The ability to input one's name and perform a forum search and list all topics and individual replies by date would also be nice.
Nice, didn't realise that you could see more topics for that section.

For me the button disappears after about 5 clicks which makes me think it disappears after it reaches posts of a certain age. Seems to be no limit on the backend just the UI:

https://www.gog.com/forum/ajax?a=getMoreRecent&page=101
It's funny how the entire list disappears the moment a thread you posted in gets deleted.

Yup, I've checked the code and that's exactly what happens (on first occurence of a post in a thread that no longer exists we return 'no more posts' flag to the frontend). Added to my forum fixes backlog, will try to tackle it someday
