"Fallout: London is an ambitious, trail-blazing DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4, Bethesda Game Studios’ 2015 post-apocalyptic RPG. Fallout: London stands apart from its contemporaries and offers an entirely new experience: setting a Fallout game outside of the United States. True to its moniker, Fallout: London takes place IN London. From stuffy parliamentary aristocrats to a resurrection of the Knights of the Round Table to an uncompromising cult of revolutionaries (and more!), Fallout: London embodies the history and aesthetics of London and puts an unmistakably nuclear spin on the beloved city.

Fallout: London’s development is labour-intensive and involves a plethora of eclectic cross-discipline individuals, both at amateur and industry level. The team maintains a strong sense of professionalism and devotion to the craft. Everyone on the Fallout: London team shares a deep love of videogames, and most importantly, Fallout itself. Each member of the Fallout: London team is individually recruited for their contributions and talent in the realms of game design and modding."

You have my vote, but you probably should talk with the devs to bring Fallout London here.

It's just a mod , not a separate game .

I feel so tired: It's just a mod , not a separate game .
Other prolific total conversions like Archolos, Enderal or Nehrim are hosted on GOG too.
Sounds pretty stupid tbh. imo the only good Fallout game was the very first one. Somehow the setting got way too silly in the later games, no real post-apocalyptic feeling at all.

morolf: no real post-apocalyptic feeling at all.
Fallout isn't really post-apocalyptic, it's more "rebuilding after a post-apocalypse" with every entry having more and more established societies and cultures, and looking less and less like a desolate wasteland (just a small detail Bethesda didn't grasp at all)

Other BGS mods of this nature were brought here. I would guess the copyrighted name will prevent that happening this time however.

Haven't played the Bethesda games. Only played Fallout: New Vegas, and yeah, it was pretty stupid how 200 years or so after the war everything still looks ruined, you find corpses/skeletons from the time of the war etc. Didn't make any sense at all.
I stand by my comments about the silliness though, already was a serious issue in Fallout 2 that pretty much killed immersion for me. And it looks like Fallout: London will be similar with "Knights of the round table" and similar stuff.
I first read that as Fallen London and got really excited!
Then I realized my mistake and my interest died on the spot.

That's funny because NV didn't have much in the way of environmental skeletons compared to F3 (or 4) where you can find one in every toilet lol, but a good amount of assets were taken from the DC ruins so yeah, the roads, buildings and random objects are literally falling apart

It isn't a good bounce story when most of the settings look like literal rubbish tips. (This largely applies to the Bethesda entries) One of the things I've disliked the most aesthetically about the series is how much time has allegedly passed since the bombs went off and yet how little the land has managed to recover.

Rather, it looks more like they wanted to make a series aesthetically inspired by 1994's Oblivion, except with maybe a bit less leaning into the Western Chic.

There's plenty of post-bounce stories, art, and even a Docuseries. (Life After People/Population Zero) You know what happens when people leave? Plants. Lots and lots of plants; it is far more poignant and beautiful to show a tank overrun by ferns and flowers than whatever Fallout was going for aesthetically.

Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics certainly did lean into Zeerust/Used future, but they could have used a little greenery.

Also, where is the fanmade Fallout Van Buren?

For a Beth (Though really Obsidian, they just used Beth's assets and had limited time to work with) Fallout game FNV's world building was actually good. Fallout 3 and 4 had pretty rubbish world building though; Fallout 3 barely had any actual signs of agriculture and growth, and Fallout 4 tried to do it but failed because apparently those little settlements can't build basic fences to keep mutants out unless you do it for them.

Fans made a Van Bueren? Last I heard of Van Bueren was that it was what Fallout 3 was supposed to be until Interplay died and Beth acquired the franchise.

I was asking where it was. IE; asking if anyone had made a game in the idealized version of that concept; instead of the rubbish clay faces with idiotic writing we got.

Oh, I misunderstood, sorry.
I do vaguely recall an attempt to restore it, now that I think of it, but I don't think it went anywhere.

Next-Gen Update Announcement

"A comment regarding the new Bethesda Update."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpqMftkTteo&t=368s

"Unfortunately the mod's just too big, they (nexusmods) can't host it on their website. Simply put: Fallout London is just too large.
...
But there was light at the end of the tunnel and that came from GoG. We've had some conversations with the technical boffins over at GoG and we now have a viable way to make the mod available for anyone who owns the (base) game on GoG.
GoG has honestly been our saving grace and we cannot recommend them more highly, they've been utter angels."
