borgtek i played to death on ps1 need the pc version as it has additonal dialogue and options and possibly alot longer gog pleae release it as u once had it

Unfortunately this is unlikely to ever see an official release again. Not only is it licensed, and base don Quicktime, as others have said, it's actually a specific version of Quicktime. Not only that but it's a 16-bit application that does not work at all in modern 64-bit systems, which means the game would need to be rebuilt in order to run and this can't be done without the source code. The game is also locked to 640x480 with no way to increase it.
It's just going to be too much work for little gain, unfortunately.
In order to record the footage for my video, I needed to run the game in a Windows XP VM.
DADOULESAGE X-Files the game is one of the best games of its generation, it deserves its place in GOG.

neumi5694 Basically everything Vivendi/Fox ever was involved in disappeared from screen.
With this game there are some tecnical difficulties as well, since it's entirely based on QuickTime. Using QuicktimeAlternative you can still get it to run if you don't mind a few graphical glitches. Instead of a black border on top and bottom of the videos you see gray bars or the game background, depending on the situation.

leekster One of the best fmv games I have ever played even though it can be a bit difficult in places. Come on GOG bring it back so we can play it again. I'd buy it in an instant if you could get it. My hardcopy version wont play on pc anymore :-(

nuketakuler I think i can comment on this. I made the same wish the third of this game like 2 years ago. a couple months ago i was partying and threw out a msg to gog.com in emails and the reply seemed to be getting copyrights can be hard for games. I figured they didnt wanta deal with fox who used to own the game most likely. so update on this game, i think they dont wanta waste their time even asking fox for copyrights, straight from them. They probably never asked though

Matt7895 I am lucky enough to still own the original CDs and it works on modern PCs, although you may have to mess around with QuickTime. A GOG version would be great, would save messing around with the CDs (this game had 7!).
