Prisoner of War (2002)
It is a good stealth action ww2 game . as a pow you will get into the atmosphere of being captive while trying to survive and escape.
This kind of game is exactly what GOG does best (a la Alpha Protocol). A real gem of a game that, while not flawless, is quite charming and unique. It is also impossible to acquire and play legally, and is regrettably on the cusp of being forgotten altogether. It would be wonderful to see it brought back!
this would make for an awesome addition.
Love this game and it would be awesome to play it again. Please GOG!
This lovely little hidden gem deserves to be here on GOG.
plz add this game
Wish this game to be added in the list.
Can't wait to play this game again.
please, we need this game. Its a gem
This is the first stealth game I ever played. It was the best.
This à forgotten Codemasters gem. A very unique game in setting and gameplay. We need more games like this.
I voted for this way back when it first hit the community wishlist, I hope this comment gets someone else to see it.
Wanna buy this game whatever the cost
I would love to see this game. Pls GOG!
I agree that this game should be added however the controls really need to be improved or at least a gamepad support needs to be added because otherwise this game is a nightmare to control and on a PS2 that wasn't the case as on the PC version.
Yes please, but Multilinual. would love to play it in italien and german again.
Yes! This game is *impossible* to get legally anymore and I really would love to be able to gift it to some friends who'd appreciate this unsung classic.
I spent so many hours as a kid trying to finish the last camp in the PS2 version. Would love to see this on GOG!
Have the game on disk but haven't been able to get it to even install let alone run! C'mon GOG, would love to have an up-to-date and running version of this great Codemasters game!
Got it on disk still but would love to still have this in my GOG library.
Would be so cool to have this game on GOG, was unable to find it available for PC anywhere other than a pirated version which I'm not sure works
Was going to make an account just to recommend this game, but apparently I already had one so it's not as cool as saying "Made an account for this"
Anyway, I have great memories of this game and there seems to be a WW2 craze at the moment so people might pay attention to it.
I would love to see this game on GOG, I have found nearly all my favorites from the last few decades here and bought them except this gem.
Please get this working and in the store. :)
I've played this game and it is very good. On the first level, the player is not allowed to change the difficulty and thus it is hard. But, once accomplished, the difficulty can change ; the Germans can be made dumb as straws or smarter than Sherlock Holmes. The size of the guards can also change: yes, I spelt that correctly ! The guards can become tiny as dwarves or huge as giants. (Well, that isn't realistic but sure as heck adds lot to the fun!) This lack of realism, however, doesn't apply to the escape methods, which include hiding in a German truck that's going to leave the camp, dressing as a German and escaping from the sewers, digging an underground tunnel e.t.c. The camps actually are only three : Holding Camp, Stalag Luft I and Colditz. Of these three the latter two are repeated once more ; I guess that happened as the game fitted a cd-rom, and space needed to be saved. Final note: the game supports the use of a joystick ; actually that's its default configuration and in order to change the configuration to keyboard and get the game aware of that, I had found a way using some not very simple menu navigation (as tha game didn't remember the change with the "normal" way and the settings menu regarding graphics and control was before the start of the game) which I have written down ; however, I'll offer it if asked at a later date, as I don't currently have this piece of paper somewhere nearby (yes, I still have it ; I put it in the game's box which is now in storage- I'll post the procedure here as soon as I find the paper).
