Tygerboi If you could port the enhanced-graphics versions of Prince of Persia and POP2 - The Shadow and the Flame that were made by GameLoft in 2007/2008 on Android/Apple and console formats to PC format for GOG store, that would be fab ad the impoved gfx / sound would make it a more appealing purchase. Maybe if the original PC versions were included in a switchable way (like, for example, in Monkey Island 2, Gods, etc) that would truly be awesome, and a worthy addition to the POP games collection. I would buy that for sure!

cseba123 Having this game on my library is one of my wishes. I love this game more than anyone can think of. It would be nice if also the first PoP was added, just like Prehistorik 1 + 2 bundle. My dream of buying this game through GoG continues!
darkredshift I'd would also like the remake of this game too as it is currently ios only, but without the horrible ads and micro transactions.
The ads are optional but I clicked the wrong button by accident when I first got the game and I don't know how to turn them off.
Jopovania There are many versions of this game, the last one being the one with less bugs but also with extremely agressive enemies (which fall to their death because they run towards a cliff when they see you, making the game somehow easier in the later levels).
If you manage to put this on GOG, please make sure it is the previous version, but not the first one (the initial release lacks the first temple ruins level).
darkredshift Also, you fight Doom Lost Souls and can play as the Dark Prince possibly foreshadowing (pun intended) Two Thrones.
darkredshift Also, what makes this game so good is it's creepiness. the dead, barren landscapes in the ruined city and outside the bird temple, the sharp, tortured music particularly when we see that image of the dying tree. I used to think that after Jaffar knocked the princess out, he buried her alive under the tree, the images of it between levels meant that its roots were sucking her flesh and blood out through her skin like a metal straw in a blue steak or the carnivorous jam tentacles from Yahtzee's novel.
darkredshift I had only played the remakes on XBLA and IOS for the originals. I did need the original disk for 3D though and sadly the Shadow and Flame remake is IOS only right now. Maybe gameloft will make an XBLA port and a less train wreck version of 3D (using the TR level editor or it's fan made "Fex engine" perhaps.
tmilke1 I just booted up my old Mac to play this again. Unfortunately, my floppies of the original are now unreadable. Shadow installed just fine though.
I'd love to be able to play both of these on a modern system though.
(and if GoG is able to wrangle the sales rights for this, please use the mac version. The graphics were oh-so-much better than DOS versions
ronnybiggs Man, I still have the CD for this. Maybe I should see what it would take to get it to work on DosBox. I tried downloading a copy but it was all buggy.

Frederico I had a not-entirely-legal copy of this but it was corrupted and crashed after the 1st level on the rooftops and right after you jump onto the ship. Would very much like to play it properly.
Zera.114 Not sure why this and Prince 1 aren't on GOG yet, I figured they would be the first games added to the database considering the nature of the website.
Hazard_Highbury Although Ubisoft did a great job (most of the time) in adapting the series to the 3D generation, the 2D originals are classics and incomparable in their simplicity and depth. The very first Prince of Persia was groundbreaking. Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame was everything PoP1 was, but more and better, and yet remains the most overlooked entry in the game's history. Please bring this back so it can be re-introduced to the new generation of Prince of Persia fans!
Brujoloco My favorite Prince of Persia to date, even after the horrendous 3D versions, to this day 2D sidescrollers are still the only thing enticing me to play these games. Call me old fashioned but I get more fun out of these old games than modern ones. Bring this Gem BACK PLEASE!
