Biosys
it's a pity that the game is still not available on gog.com. i played it as a child i even have it in german language as a cd i would like to upload it to gog.com. there is no german version on the internet only english. you can run the game on (pcem 17 windows 98) without any problems
Absolute underrated classic from 1999. It'd be great to have it accessible without having to scout abandonware webpages that might or might not get shut down eventually.
+Biosys is an absultely underrated masterpiece from 1999. It is a PAIN to get this game to work on newer machines today but it is definitely a hidden gem: an AWESOME survival adventure game! So, GOG please make this great gem accessible to a larger audience today...
I managed to get BIOSYS running in Win XP and Win 7 and even Win 10, though I had issues with 10. I first bought and played the game with Win 98 SE. I made ISO files of the two CDs and mounted them in WinCDEmu. I also needed to Disable DirectX (two registry settings), Reduce Hardware Acceleration level or turn it off (registry setting & DLL call) (Win XP only), Shutdown Windows Explorer. I also needed to use Administrator Permissions (Registry changes and Folder/File permissions). Some dude has put up a nice playthru video on YouTube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg9iAeWPImA
You can play it on WinXP without hardware acceleration (for video).
Would also like to see that. There are reports that you can get this running with the PCem Emulator (pcem-emulator.co.uk)
@Latster
Same here, found my old copy lately and tried everything to get it running ... it wouldn't :(
It was such a pleasure to manage those bioms for full functionality.

I couldn't even get my disc copy running on a virtual machine. Sad, because I'd really like to play this again.
I still have my original disc copy but of course, it won't run on modern PCs without a lot of work and tweaking. I really want this game to appear on GOG so I can replay it for the nostalgia!
Can BioSphere/BioSys be downloaded from the internet?
If more games were like this one, we would face much smarter teenagers. I do believe I learned a few things from its emersive story and in-game botanical encyclopedia. I'd like to buy it, but it is not for trade or sale anywhere anymore. It was a Win 95 game, so it might not even run on modern PCs : (
Great game! I was 9 years old when I played that game.
