Aliens: A Comic Book Adventure
the Aliens: A Comic Book Adventure game for ms-dos will have to arrive on gog to play us one day without leaving it behind and it has to be on gog
This game is great. Since Alien is celebrating it's anniversary these days, GOG should consider this game.
Since the 80s, from all the games of the Alien franchise, this one has been the most forgotten, underestimated, and sometimes hard to find. This game was the first adventure of the franchise and the first and only game based entirely on the comic books.
In fact this game is the sequel of the Dark Horse comic's Aliens: Labyrinth.
I tried to play it in the 90s, but the bugs the game had, mostly with the mouse cursor, turn to be impossible to play it. I was disappointed and frustrated, because I read the comics, I'm a big fan of the Cryo games, adventure games and the Alien franchise, but those bugs and the constantly CD swap, killed a great original adventure game (this was the only reason of the bad critic reviews of that time.)
I really, trully hope GOG get his hands on this game (and his updates, patches and fixes) and bring it to the FullHD glory as it deserves.
Ah, I remember this. It was an interesting point-and-click adventure with a nice soundtrack and some pretty graphics(for its time). I never beat it on account of the fact that I could never get it to run properly under Windows ME. It played fine, but the mouse cursor was invisible, which makes point-and-clicking very difficult. I tried my hardest to play despite this handicap, but never made it very far. I would definitely love to try it again if it could be made to run under modern OS.
This game looks like something gog should consider!!!
Gameplay is a point-and-click adventure with limited, inventory-based puzzles. Grid-based combat is present as well. The player is given what amounts to timed objectives throughout the game, and must uncover the truth about the mysterious outpost's history before the colony's sudden destruction.
the game uses a first person perspective that switches to third person during the cinematic sequences showing your party exploring the base. and a third person 'isometric' view during the combat sequences.
