AmethystViper Another small suggestion, would it be possible to add in an option in the Settings menu for how I want to close GOG Galaxy? So far when I click close, it remains active in the background to alert me of notifications. But what if I wanted to close Galaxy entirely and have the notifications let me know what has been going on when I sign in? How about an option that also lets me decide to remain logged in my account or sign me out automatically when I shutdown Galaxy, should someone else in the same household also has a GOG account?

drecunha I'm having the same problem on Sonoma 14.6.1. I have to force quit every time. This is an absurd bug that has been going on for more than a year.
PhaseAngle Still won't quit so has to be manually updated all the time. This has always been the case for all Macs I have seen with galaxy installed
Salathor Same here. On OSX, you cannot close GOG Galaxy. Using the quit option locks it up with a white screen and you have to force-quit to close it. Note that this is not the same as a windows "minimize to task bar" situation.
HermitWife Same as the last two messages: when I close from the menu or the dock, it doesn't actually close--it just becomes a black window that I have to force quit to get rid of.

Quibbloboy Nothing to add but to pile on. It's SUPREMELY annoying having to close the program from the taskbar every time. Or worse, the unpleasant surprise I get when I "close" the program absentmindedly, only to discover it's been squatting in my taskbar the whole time hours or days later.

Dax520 Completely unacceptable to have no full shutdown option. I expect this kind of anti-consumer behaveour from Norton antivirus, not GOG. Uninstalling the launcher until this is fixed. I can buy and play games elsewhere. GOG, I'll support your business when you support me as a consumer.

By refusing to add this feature, GOG is making people angry.

Syncron9 UI upper right corner X means close, it does not mean hide down in the systray. Even Steam can at least get that part right. Need the UI option that X means close, thanks!
thomas002003 For me it's a bug. Galaxy Client should terminate when I click on the "close" button. Or at least put back the option in the UI. I will uninstall Gog Galaxy because of that.
shoutandecho Hi! You can go to the GOG icon and click "Exit" in the dropdown. It's a step back, UI-wise from when you could tell Galaxy to always close upon exit, but that's how you do it with the current version (1.2.10).

Personally i like when the close button close the applcation, if I want to reduce the window i use the reduce button (I know it's totally insane) ^^
