We are looking for a Social Media Strategist to help us expand our social media presence, keep GOG top-of-mind, and bring our community into the heart of this mission.
You will report to the Marketing Director.
Your Mission
As a Social Media Strategist, you'll be responsible for developing and executing GOG's social media content strategy while also being highly hands-on with our channels and communities. You will create strategies that align with our brand's mission of game preservation and our goal of turning GOG users into game preservation heroes.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Content Strategy: Lead the creation of a social media content strategy that strengthens GOG's brand as a champion of game preservation. Identify the right channels, types of content, and opportunities that tell GOG's and users' stories.
- Content Planning: Develop a detailed editorial calendar that outlines key campaigns, content pillars, themes, and publishing schedules across all social channels. Ensure alignment with GOG's mission, integrating community-driven initiatives and nostalgia-driven content to resonate deeply with our audience.
- Content Execution: Craft posts and other content that build a narrative around GOG's mission. Design community-focused events and user-generated content initiatives that -inspire people to join the game preservation movement. Collaborate with the Marketing and PR teams to support brand campaigns, releases, and events.
- Engagement and interaction: Be GOG's voice on social media. Interact with our community on platforms like X, Reddit, Facebook, and our forums, ensuring a consistent, engaging brand voice.
- KPIs impact and reporting: Set KPIs for impact on Brand and Business, track them, and refine your approach accordingly.
