I just bought two copies of UT2004 to play with a friend, and while the website says the total DL size is 2GB, GOG galaxy shows a DL size of 6GB. Is there really a size difference of 4GB or does Galaxy just show the total installed size?

6GB is actually the total size of the game after installation, which is also what Galaxy downloads, because it downloads uncompressesed files. So, if you want to save time and bandwidth download the 2GB installer.
