korell: Been interested in this title since it showed up, but I have a couple of questions.
Firstly, the GOG gamecard page shows the version as 1.42.3 but this is a few versions behind the one on the official game site, which is 1.42.6. Is the version on GOG accurate and we are waiting for a newer GOG version?
I'm also assuming that the GOG version has the one time internet check removed? I know it is single player only at present, but if and when we do get multiplayer, how will that work with the internet check for the version from the official site?
Lastly, the official game site lists special items and weapons that you can buy with credits that you get in-game (or purchase). How do those work with the GOG version and is there anything actually missing from the GOG version?

There is no internet check nor any need to enter in a serial number in the GOG version. The serial number you see is for unlocking the game from the official site if you so choose.
As of right now, the GOG version is missing the online challenges and thus you may be unable to get the credits necessary to get those items listed on the official site. If you want the online challenges, you can use the aforementioned serial in your My Account page to unlock the online-enabled version.
Hope that helps :D.
