I have all the files for the game, now it just won't run. I go to the launcher, hit launch game, and then nothing happens. can someone help me figure out how to get this working?

I am running it on ubuntu 13.10 and I have to run it from the shell file. If anyone can help me figure out how to do that, that would be great. The syntax of the terminal is a little bit over my head right now I have to say.
