TIE FIGHTER 1994 EDITION

So frustrating after having gotten to Battle 9 (the last one) to get stuck solid at mission 1. It's just impossible. Even when using the inbuilt invulnerability AND unlimited ammo cheats! Most of Battles 7 and 8 I had to use these cheats through, but 9, so ridiculous I cannot do it even with these cheats. And I'm on so called "easy" difficulty setting.

The only thing left is a mission skip!

Anyone know a cheat code for that? I can't find shit on the internet.

EDIT

Took 15 attempts, but I finally did Battle 9 Mission 1. But then came B9E5, "Trapped by Pirates". Is that mission meant to be some kind of sick joke? You can't target anything because your targetting system automatically targets one of the 50000 ion mines surrounding you. Enemy transports start already docked and boarding the ships you are meant to save, fire at the transport? Kablooey goes the ship you are meant to save along with it. Mission failed. Everytime.

This truly is impossible!

Add to that the high number of objects cripple frame rates to about 5FPS.

Why do these designers make missions like this? All that effort you put in going through the whole campaign and they ruin it all by stopping you from ever getting to 100% completion just as you have gotten to 99%! Do they think it funny?

Can these campaign missions be edited to make them doable?

Is there a level skip cheat?

All the lousy YouTube vids of people doing this mission and proclaiming "easy peasy" isn't helping my stress levels much neither, nor do they reveal "how to do it".

Kind of pissed-offed at the moment - can't you guess?! :D

Help!

There are plenty of radar controls, just select the transports by scrolling the targets manually by using T and Y.
That's not a hard mission, here's how I did it (on medium/normal difficulty):
https://youtu.be/u3CTn5_0i9U

Also note: if by 100% completion you mean the bonus objectives my advice is: don't.
Secondary objectives are those that matter, bonus ("secret") objectives are there mostly just for the challenge though many are actually doable sometimes they are either too difficult or contraddictory (like, if you do one, another becomes impossible and vice versa), I did get 100% in many missions but only because in those they were either realtively easy ("wait until the transport has docked before ending the mission" easy) or just happened to make the other objectives easier (like shooting down an optional target that would shoot at something you are escorting later anyway). If you try to get 100% bonus objectives you'll lose your sanity and no game is worth that.

The perfomance issues are weird though, I didn't have any issues in that regard myself, keep the cycles fixed at 60/70 thousands and the FPS should be fine, any higher will mess with the AI and even in this case you may need to use DOSbox shortcuts to lower the cycles in case a Tug is apparently stuck in place but I had to do that on only a couple of missions.
