Now this is ofc stupid but wondering if the mechanics of the game would allow you to start as a CE or CN cleric of rovagug, just pick lawful and good options until lawful good and play as a paladin following a CE god or if the game would have you pick a new NG, LG or LN god?

Probably once you changed alignment to an unallowed one, you could no longer gain levels in your previous class, and would have to multiclass. That's my expectation.

Might be that you would pick another god at your next level up though.
That would be a strange playthrough.

Yeah tempted to make my next one like this just cause of the bizarreness of it all and curiosity if you get to pick a new god when you reach lawful good and can take a level of paladin lol
