gameon: Thanks. I am learning as i go currently. I found out that you have to go to a certain guild to level up skills, which helped. I guess i should use the slow fighting option (when pressing enter) for spells in attacks. Because at the moment, fighting in real time is a handful.
Get everyone a bow / crossbow for some good old hit 'n' run tactic ;)

Rummage through crates, the should be enough of basic equipment there. And if you're still on Emerald Island, most of them are not trapped or require just 1 point in Disarm.
BTW, remember to open containers with a party member that has this skill ;)
