So for some reason that I don't entirely understand, the game has begun really acting up recently. After a while (usually ~5 minutes or so), the framerate will plummet and the game will stutter a lot. Strangely enough, hitting alt-enter to shift from full-screen to windowed will fix the problem for another 5 minutes or so, at which point the stuttering will start up again, going from windowed back to full screen will fix it again for another 5 minutes, etc.

Anyone know what could be causing this? I've got the latest version of insecticide installed but it was working fine a few months ago so I don't think that's the issue. Part of me wonders if the problem is with Dosbox rather than the game.

This happens to me on literally any Dosbox game I play windowed.


Any time I leave the window it happens. I am very much interested in a solution as well.
