bengeddes: I feel your pain. This has happened to me with more than a few games on here in the last year. GOG likes to yank old patches as soon as they're replaced. So you really have to stay on top of the patching situation else you will find yourself re-downloading everything from scratch. This is a real headache for people with slow speeds or low data allowances.
I suspect this is subtle pressure to get people to switch to Galaxy instead, as Galaxy users would not have to deal with this. It would automatically update any game version to the latest version. But this is just speculation on my part.
We've been keeping two or three old patches for most games lately rather than just replacing them outright. If you require a much older patch, please let us know and we'll make it available for you :)
