I tend pick up the games i want usually within the first week or two after release, and when there is a sale I look at what is available and see if there is anything interesting. For neither do I need a list.

My GOG wishlist is now $1214 for 124 games. Anything I REALLY wanted, I've already bought. Lately I've stopped buying games on discount, I just want to get through what's already in my backlog (also having only a MacBook limits what I can play in the first place). I don't mind paying full price for something that piques my interest, and I can afford it since I buy fewer games now anyway.

You probably know this already, but just in case you don't: Unless you really want the GOG version, you can currently get Shattered Haven and 5 other games by the same developer for a total minimum of ~$5 from Indie Royale (the offer ends in 3 days).

But it's more a collection of bookmarks for games I'm mildly interested to try at some point in the future (or not). My actual wishlist of games I intend to buy soon is $15,98 at the moment.

That and the fact that the minimum price is $5.99.
For example, if GOG had $1.99 games in its catalogue, it would be impossible to know if you were having 127 games in your wishlist or just 27.
