Indeed. And the attitude seems to be that Valve get a pass, because they are so cool and awesome and friendly. That is the pervasive attitude on news sites, blogs and even most not-gog forums. I have had people tell me bluntly "well I trust Valve so giving them this power is okay" and shit like that.

I don't think Valve are my best friends, I think they are a company that want my money, same as EA.
