I've got a headset that comes with an extremely Zen EQ interface. And by Zen I mean 'minimalist' and not the Creative Labs media player. Basically, it has three options: 'Dolby Enabled/Disabled', 'Games/Movies Mode' and 'Music Mode', the latter two only being available when Dolby Surround is enabled.
It pretty much relies on media players like VLC and WinAMP to maintain their own EQ settings, which is great for those applications, but not so much for games. I used to be able to manipulate the EQ settings in games using the RealTek HD Audio Manager software, but it doesn't work with this headset. Is there some kind of universal EQ manager available someplace?
I'm using Windows 7 x64, and the headset in question is a Plantronics GameCom 780 (it's a USB set, which may or may not limit my options).
