Wishbone: Just out of curiosity, do you know if the game uses US or UK English? For the dialog, I mean. Or is it just "generic English", meaning noone gave it much thought, and just wrote the words that seemed to fit? I can imagine that non-native English speakers might easily adopt a mix'n'match approach. I know I do.
I imagine that it's "generic with a heavy American lean," because that's how English mostly seems to be spelled by my co-workers. "American" is the dominant form of English on the Internet, after all.
