Personally, the conference was only semi-successful for me because of all the titles they didn't show. They may have brought a lot of games, but seriously, how fast can you whiz through like a dozen games with only the cursory notion of "soon" nearby? I get it, Ass Creed and Watch Dogs bring in the big bucks, but there should be new stuff that we should get to see more. In that light, Destiny was good, if somewhat boring due to the pace of it all.
However, I must say this: Don't be blinded because Sony took it out on Microsoft. Believe me, I love this sort of conflict, directly aimed at the competitors, but Sony all ready decried these practices previously. This announcement should not have been "Stop the conference!" worthy. The gaming media are quick to brush things under the rug to exalt saviors. What about Nintendo that didn't get caught up in this conflict by purely being fair to the customer? Where's their praise as the video game heroes? I do not object to the principle, quite the opposite, but people should recognize thsi was a cheapshot. An effective cheapshot, but a cheapshot nonetheless.
Price point is just right for the console. I foresee many Xbox One problems and good PS4 success. I hope at the very least this sends a message, even if the games particularly weren't to my pleasing. Iwouldn't be ASHAMED to own a PS4, I can tell you, though in the coming months I'd rather have a Wii-U. Good on Sony, but cut down the conference if you're going to whiz by games anyways. That was movie length and felt it, this late.
