The game is on my to-play-someday, list, so it's always good to see it still got fansupport. Like before I downloaded the packages and backuped them, always be ready to play ;-) I hope they could maybe in the future make make one big package and you can choose what you then can decide what to install, like in the VATM Bloodlines fanpatch. But that's not really important, most important is that the community is still alive.
Thanks for the heads up. Downloading both versions now, for my first and second playthrough.

Hawk52: TOEE itself is a good game, but one that demands patience. Even with the Co8 fixes, I still found the game incredibly broken and barely holding on by a thread. Often it felt like a slight push could send the game flailing brokenly down a pit. I can't even imagine how it is unmodded.
I've only ever played it with earlier versions of the modpack, but I feel the same way. Out of the box it must have been an absolute, horrifying mess.

I suppose the community's devotion to fixes are a testament to how good the game is, or rather, how good the combat is. It's a bit like Icewind Dale in that respect.
Also important to note is that the mod increases the level cap to 20, through you can change it to whatever you want in the co8 launcher
They sure did a great job over the years, and what patience they had!

I don't know if "Final" means the same "Final" that said the fan who makes Fallout 2 Restoration Project (who does a great job too indeed!) which is "final" since many versions :D

its on my 'Turn based, isometric RPG' list but then I bought the Spiderweb pack and Random.org gave me Geneforge 1 to play last time so it might take me a while to get to it...

Thank you very much for the heads up on this. I'm downloading both now and saved a link to the site's complete guide to the game/mod.

On mine too. I also started playing Geneforge 1 for maybe 1-2 hours, but then I had the feeling I should maybe start the Spiderweb games with something more easy to go, so I went to Avadon. But someday I will go back to the Geneforge series, someday...
I couldn't even start the game because of the flicking issue with my ancient video card (GeForce 9500 GT). The characters were all invisible! Has this bug been fixed in this final update?
