Hey.

I'm looking for an improved, fan made TF Classic game. It acts as a standalone game, it isn't a mod to TF.

I've seen it and had it at some point, but I just can't remember where did I get it from or how exactly was it called.

There are a number of Team Fortress games. There's a list at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_Fortress

As a wild guess from that list, are you thinking of Fortress Forever?
