I beat it yesterday after I figured out what the solution was. It was so simple that it made me feel very, very stupid for not seeing it before.
I thought this one was very well-paced and has me eager for the next episode. Once again, they've created a great cliff-hanger. One thing I'm curious about is if they'll keep some of the "changes" Telltale's made to Guybrush in this episode if another company works on whatever is after Tales.

mogamer: I read a story somewhere about the Bone series right before Sam & Max season 2 started.
Basically, the games didn't sell very well at all, people probably weren't ready for episodic games. Gametap needed something to make them more noticable so they worked withTelltale on Sam & Max season 1 and since Gametaps model was better for episodic games, the rest is history. Overall, I think it was a good move on their part. Now if they ever decide to go back to Bone (although I doubt it), there will be an audience for it.

I think a big reason for Bone's failure is that Bone isn't known as well as Sam and Max, Strong Bad, Monkey Island, or Wallace and Gromit. Telltale has fans from those series coming to play the games. Bone is much more obscure, so they don't have that rabid fanbase poring over it.

soulgrindr: Bone Ep1 wasn't so hot, as it was their first attempt at this style of episodic gaming... they didn't quite have the formula down.
Bone Ep2 was a huge step forward, and basically laid the groundwork for all their other series.
They really need to go back, tweak eps1&2 with their new experience, and start up that series again. It'd probably be much more successful now they have more exposure.

They did tweak episodes 1 & 2 of the Bone series, but I'm not sure how much they changed things. It's probably not as much as you'd like though.
