mystral: Haha it's exactly the same for me.
I'm still hoping they'll have a specific sale for one of the decent RPGs I don't own yet though (or that I owned until someone "borrowed" them).
avatar
ovoon: Theres plenty of RPG's on sale. Just not on the daily sales yet. Mount&Blade is half off and Titan Quest Immortal throne is as well. I got Kings Bounty for 3$ and it's just like HoMM and I love it.

key words here: "don't own yet". I already own all the ones you listed. ;)
I agree that King's Bounty is very good.
Ugh TFU was the worst Star Wars game ever made. Horrible. I loved the Jedi Knight series, the Battlefront series, xwing, tie fighter, rogue squadron, and both KOTOR's, but TFU was a pile of ef.

Gundato: Lower prices let you overlook things more easily.

So true.

I have already finished the mobile version so I know the story is complete cowpat. Makes it even worse that Lucasarts are so proud of it.

They are? What is there to be proud of exactly? The combat was fun enough (though the boss fights with mandatory QTE were a bad idea), but the story...
I'm not a diehard Star Wars fan, so the huge retcon didn't bother me (too much), but it's still one of the worst story in that universe. And considering that includes very bad books, well...
Finally a decent amount off the CoH pack.

Worse than Masters of Teras Kasi?
Worse than that ep1 tie-in where Obi-Wan and Qui-GOn couldn't jump worth crap?
I think the problem was that people went into TFU expecting Jedi Knight. It isn't. TFU is MUCH closer to God of War than Jedi Knight (at least, it was on the PSP). Open your mind.

Exactly. It was fine. No masterpiece like KotOR, and perhaps not as solid a game as some of the Jedi Knight titles were, but it was an interesting jaunt, and it certainly wasn't boring using the force powers. In certain boss fights, the saber duels were at times, incredibly engaging. I left completely satisfied.
I finally broke down and purchased Left 4 Dead 2 because I wanted to kill zombies. Not like I'll ever see a Valve title here anyways.

What do you think the FU stands for?
The Steam sale is great for anyone that doens't have a large steam collection, most of the great deals are for games I already have.
That being said, I jumped on Bionic COmmando Re-Armed, Cricket 2007, Basketball Manager, and jericho.

lukaszthegreat: not big fan of racing games but i haven't played one in a while and actually don't own any:
would you recommend one from gog
OR
one of these
Fuel
Grid
Dirt
I am leaning more towards offroad racing aka fuel or grid.

I reccomend Dirt 2 if you can run it, and Fuel is nice as well. If your computer is older, Dirt 1 is still amazing.

Codemasters make some of the best racers out there. GRID and Dirt 2 are among my favorite.
Also, why the Force Unleashed hate? It wasn't the best in the world, but I had good fun with it, and didn't find it to be offensively bad. However, I do think they're morons for making a second game with the same character because Starkilller was somehow secretly cloned! I know cloning is rather frequent in Star Wars, but that just about eliminates what they tried to do with the ending to the first game.

So that's how they're getting the sequel. Was wondering that, since he is pretty unusable for a sequel after either ending.
And the EU is all about rendering sacrifices pointless.
Jango sacrificed himself to wipe out the jedi (that wiped out his brothers). The Jedi got better (damned Luke)
Vader sacrificed himself to stop Palpy. How many clones did Palpy have? :p
Luke defeated Palpy to bring balance to the Force. As of the Legacy era, it is pretty much a running gag as to how often a Skywalker goes to the dark side.
Revan basically sacrificed himself by going into the uncharted territories to stop the Sith Empire. TOR :p
The Jedi Exile basically sacrified herself by going into the uncharted territories to help Revan stop the Sith Empire. TOR :p
So yeah, nothing new there. :p. Star Wars is actually a pretty sucky universe, if you think about it. Life sucks there.
I'm sorry, but I tried to 'open my mind' and TFU was one of the most painful games I have ever played. The whole time I was just tearing it apart for all it's flaws and stupid implementations. Then the story and events were predictable. The only reason I see people liking it is because they tried so hard to make it 'epic'. I love all Star Wars games. I even has fun with Tera Kasi :P
This one was one of the worst games I've ever played. One of my main complaints was "HOW IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN?!"
I like God of War, Devil May Cry and Bayonetta quite a bit. And Star Wars. I guess it's just not for everybody.

Metro09: The expansion really doesn't add anything interesting to Overlord 1 -- it's a few new small areas and items that are largely pointless given the game's difficulty level. I've yet to play Overlord 2 more than a couple of hours having bought the pack for $8ish almost a year ago and not really having the time to pick it up again.

That's good to know, thanks.
Maybe I'll just hold off buying Overlord after all, and use the money to buy Riddick instead.
You missed the Overlord sale 06-24 $4.50 for everything

Its a bit over 10 bucks and easily worth it for one game much less for both. If you think its the kind of game you'd like then you'll be happy enough if you pay $10 for the pack. Failing that #1 is less than 2 bucks so at least get that
