as other people have said: I'm sorry for your loss

I went through similar things when my grandfather died....
Sorry to hear that and while still young, too. He sounds like he was a good man.

They live on in our memories and hearts.
Sounds like a real role model. Almost lost my mom to cancer, it's painful and not something I'd wish on anyone.
here i am
My grandmother, who is definitely in the 'acceptable age' for it, is looking like she might go soon. I hope not, though, she's my favorite extended relative, but of course it has to happen at some point.
Remember him for the man he was.

And don't add me to the draw.

Regards

Fantasysci5: Wow, he sounded so brave and focused. He didn't let it get him down, and the things he accomplished...he was so strong. I'm sorry for your loss. *hugs*
Hmm, that reminds me of one time, when he slipped in our yard. It was winter and the ground was icy. His crutch slipped and he fell down. I rushed to him and offered my hand to help him get up. He responded:

"If I cannot get up by myself, I deserve to be left on the ground"
I am sorry for your loss. I recently lost my grandmother who spent more time than anyone else raising me. Cherish the memories.

Great man... There aren't many of these kind now. Brave, proud, and manly. Just like my father.

Try to live proud like he lived.

My father was absent most of my life.
Don't remember him at all.
My step dad was a pretty great guy.
Until I went round to borrow his drill about 11 years ago & found him flat out on the floor.
He'd finally lost his battle with cancer.
I broke in to see to him.
Before I had a chance to call for an ambulance, the police turned up.
Sometimes I feel really angry that he'd lain there for however long without any help, but just break a window & you got an immediate response.

I'd just like to offer my sympathy for any Norwegian goggers we have...
4 places left in the draw :)
My father is 57 and he has a difficulty to walk since some 12 years ago or more. Too much streess (at that time) and an uncurable virus in his spine. :( And he was a great athlete when young.

My condolences for your late father. I spend most of the year away from my family and I'm never happy with it, alyways thinking of what I'm missing.

I'm happy to be with them on vacation right now.
Also sorry for your loss.

My father is fighting cancer right now, but he is still fine. I think he will last a few good years yet. I don't mind it very much, as he was absent for most of my life, and the only good memories I have with him come from early childhood.

Not entering draw, as you have already given me a game today.

You have my condolences for your loss. I'm lucky enough to still have my mother and father. My mom has had cancer 4 times now and she's still going strong. I enjoy what time I am able to spend with them.
Thank you guys for your kind words, it warms my heart :)

2 more entries and random.org will decide the winner :)
