That's generous, but I'm lookin' at Steam's version with a digital art book. Still bough it here, but any chance of that art book being released on GoG?

Does it use checkpoint saving or can you save when you want?

This will decide whether I grab it now, or wait for a big discount one day.

It looks really enjoyable, and TB's video pretty much convinced me of the game, but since I'm not a very big fan of FPS, I think I wait till it becomes a bit cheaper. For that price I'd rather buy Dragon Commander, and I'M low on funds anyway...

But it's rather nice seeing GOG.com not getting screwed over for once, and getting something exclusive. I guess the retro katana is just a skin for the normal katana though, right?

As someone who has played Shadow Warrior several times, I have absolutely no interest in this game whatsoever. The footage and PR has revealed to me that this is for the most part not faithful to the original IP. Why couldn't they just call it something else?

I'm a bit confused about how this new version of the store works regarding bonus games. Since now bonus games are automatically added to one's account, what happens If one already has the bonus game? Does it get lost (obviously it can't be re-added to your account)? Will the option to get a giftable code be available? And will contacting support be required every time to get it? Or is this a one-time exception and the norm from now on regarding bonus games is for them to be lost if already owned?

If that's the case - sorry GOG, that's a step backwards and a rather bad (design) decision. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that up until now, one always got seperate codes for bonus games, codes that were giftable. If this still applies, wouldn't it be simpler if the system auto-detected if one already owns a bonus game and automatically emailed a giftable code?

IMHO, this change is quite major (again, if that's how it's going to work from now on) and shouldn't be (casually) shared in a post of a multi-page thread on the forum - it can easily be overlooked and leave (unhappy) people wondering about what happened, not to mention that it might lead to increased support tickets.

It looks like an incredibly fun game. I love chopping enemies in games, and it looks like that katana swordplay is the strongest aspect of the new Shadow Warrior which is great.

Looks very nice, despite the apparent radical change to the great character of Lo Wang. One Question: Are the minimum specs that are posted here legit and also, do we know the recommended requirements for the game?

fronzelneekburm: I'm on the fence about this game. On the one hand, I'm happy that this is offered DRM-free. But the whole "reinventing"-angle (namely getting rid of the delightful political incorrectness of the original) ticks me off.
I feel exactly the same. I love the original Shadow Warrior, but the way he sounds now and what you said is just ugh

Actually, and ironically, I thought that was Commander Maleshep up there at first. The trim goatee and grayish N-7 like tinge of armor, rings incredibly similar.
