What do you guys think? Or do you want to wait for Everquest next? ;)

I pledged and I'm super excited! :D
Come on guys! You must have something to say about this project!

It could be what Everquest 2 SHOULD have been!
Just a thought - maybe people here are not that interested in MMOs or in crowdfunding one?

Probably. Sad but true :/
I have also pledged. Been waiting for an MMO like this. It should have similar gameplay to early Everquest and Vanguard.

Yeah, its sounds awsome on their kickstarter page, cant wait to play it! ^_^
Whenever there's a new MMORPG in the making I'm more interested in the lore than in playing it xD
That said, it doesn't look bad at all. Hopefully it will make it :)
"A classic take on epic MMO adventure" - another way of saying that they're not changing the standard MMO formula. There are too many of them out there to care about another generic title.

"No single player should be able to do everything on their own." and " A sincere commitment to creating a world where a focus on group play will attract those seeking a challenge." - meaning they will force you to find people to team up with or you can't progress. That's not an attractive feature for any MMO and why Guild Wars 2 is a step above.

So no thanks. It's not going to be anything worth taking note of for me and for nearly a million bucks...hah.

While i do enjoy some MMOs, i have to say that i also HATE games that prevent you from progressing further unless you make a party or something. It's a HUGE turn-off for me. I only enjoy MMOs that i can solo till end game (i don't care about end game content anyway, once i finish all the quests and reach the level cap i'm done with it, i'd rather start with a new character).

It becomes an even bigger problem in MMOs with a low population. I tried playing Global Agenda a few weeks ago and got pretty far into it, but now i'm stuck in a quest that i can't complete because it requires more people and those who have completed the quest already can't do it again. Problem is that the game's population is extremely low right now. I left the game because of that quest.
It's a MMO. So not interesting for me.
No thanks.

My gaming group isn't big enough to support a forced-grouping game, especially with six-player groups, and I'm done playing with strangers. I am most definitely done with raiding. I also don't like being told that the game will deliberately waste my time to help me make new friends. As much as modern MMOs leave me cold, this is not my game.

Besides, I did play Brad McQuaid's last Everquest successor, Vanguard. I didn't find it particularly compelling.
Kickstarter: Neat.
Video Game: Nice.
Runs on Mac: Snazzy.
MMO: Nope.

I can't stand MMOs. I buy a game to own it and play whenever I feel like, not play for the few months/years until the people running the servers get bored, or the company gets bought, or whatever. I've paid monthly sub fees to two different MMOs and watched them both go down, and everything just vanish. All the fun, all the effort, all the good times and bad times, all the everything just *poof* gone. Even though they could have easily, easily been sold to another company, or even switched them into single player games! City of Heroes/City of Villains had a base game that you could solo for probably 60-80+ hours! With massive replayability! And instead they just trashed it all. So, no, not interested. Bah humbug.

Sorry for the bad vibes, I do wish them the best of luck getting funded. Just personally not into them.
Just upped my pledge from $100 to $150! :D
