For me this is necessary to avoid cheating or abuse. Although it's not perfect but i think it's better than nothing.

I wasn't spamming it, or trying to. I'm sorry if it came across that way. But I did ask this question multiple times(not if the rep minimum could be removed but if I could enter seeing as my rep never reaches 20, or only goes above 20 for short periods), and felt I was being ignored, and understandably got a bit impatient in trying to get an answer. Again if this bothered anyone i'm sorry.

The question isn't if the rep minimum can be removed or should be removed but if I could enter seeing as how my rep WAS 20-22 a few days ago. Technically I DID meet the contest requirements at several points since it started, but as my rep fluctuates constantly I never keep above 20 for long....still I feel that since my rep was above 20 at a few points this month I should be able to enter. Just my two cents.

At this point? No. This rule exists from the beginning of the 2011 simple contest, so I believe It should stay as it is.

But in general, I don't like excluding any part of community from various events. However it's your right to do it your way.

If someone complained about the way I give stuff out, I'd probably just stop doing it tbh. My method is clearly not the best (just posting the code), but it's still better to give something than nothing right?

Again that's not what I was asking. The rules of the contest stated 20 minimum rep(it doesn't say one has to maintain 20 rep, technically), and as I had 20 rep several times this month then I should be allowed to enter. And I asked if I could enter to OP, taking into account what I mentioned about my rep situation.

I dont think rep point requirements should be removed.

However I think that there should be some flexability.

Take GR as an example whether some people like it or not he has been active on the forums basically since joining (with 1 break) He has lost more rep points than some of the members in these threads.

I think the signup age and the rep needs to stay but if it is a case that someone lost a tonne of rep be it thier fault or not I believe there should be a small amount of lee way(sp)

Change rep to days active on forums and that's it. Or remove completely. Makes little difference to me.

GameRager, you get down rated so damn often because you complain about it.

If you'd shut up about it annoying you then people who don't like you would stop trolling you with it.

I get that people get irked about my complaining but complaining about something on the forums shouldn't be low rate worthy. Sorry, but this is how I feel.

The down rate button imo is for truly bad posts or spam, not downrating those that are saying things we don't want to read.

By the way, thanks for Sanctum. That game is truly awesome, poured many hours into it already and got my brother to buy it as well for some co-op action!
