Or just a compilation of the games? Or... nothing?

Given the current fad for remakes it is entirely possible. Will it be good? maybe. Will it be consolised? deffinitely. Will that be bad? possibly. I have nothing else to say until I see more. But I havent even played the originals yet and would like to do that.

The thing that worries me the most is that all these games with the possible exception of wing commander would probably be easily adapted to iphone

Speaking of which, how well did that Live Arcade WC game go? If it went well, that probably has told EA that they're sitting on a potential gold mine.

It did okay. Too bad the game was horrible.
On the bright side, I was in the manual for that game!

I hope they don't remake it or try to revive it. Before I get jumped on by Vagabond and others™ let me say that if the game were brought back it would be a disgrace and not worth it. The potential is great true but the potential for disaster, especially with EA, is not worth it. Enough good franchises, like Fallout or "Shock", have gotten a horrible slap job compared to the originals.
A compilation pack or something that isn't a remake but a remaster akin to the recent Monkey Islands wouldn't be bad though since there is no possible way they can screw it up.
