Ausir: By the way, this is a recent edition of the whole HoMM series, 1 through 5, released in Poland by CD Projekt:
http://img.gram.pl/upl/artykul/120081024153208.jpg
2 DVDs with all 5 games and expansions, 3 soundtrack CDs, extras CD, hardcover manual, hardcover artbook, bestiary book, poster, tarot deck with HoMM art and a t-shirt.

I would gladly put my claws on it... was it not localised.
I also saw similiar collection (in English) in Netherlands... but with price far above my willingness to pay :)
I had to buy it just to repay the debt for the countless hours I played the pirated version as a kid. It was like the first "real" game (not tetris or such) my father brought from work, noone in the family really knew any English so we had to figure out the game mechanics and controls ourselves (after like a month I found out you can swap units from the castle to your hero, oh boy I was PROUD!, I miss those pioneering times!). We all played it, hotseat sessions meant a real quality family time. :) My parents later bought the collectors (or gold) edition of HOMAM 1&2 but they've played the third instalment most. And there must have been more families like us here because the HOMAM series is one of the most sold in Czech Republic. :)

That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

WingedKagouti: Had this been Master of Magic I'd have paid, but the early HoMM games aren't worth $5.99 let alone the implied $9.99.

HOMM2 was as close to a perfect game as it gets.

It was out in very limited quantities in a few regions when it was released, including England, but I mean limited. First thing I knew it was already gone!

Agreed.

If you're up to learn different language, it's still in our stores :)
On the other hand, as rcorp proved, knowing language is not necessary to play.

Bought the second I saw it.
This edition was never announced or promoted anywhere and I found it by luck in my nearby supermarket in France.
They had only 5 boxes, 80€ each and they were sold in a week or less.
FYI the games are localized like at publication time:
Heroes I - English
Heroes II - English and French (German?)
Heroes III - English, French, German, Italian, Spanish...
And so on.
The videos are in English only despite being available localized (in French) at publication time.
I've since saw it on Amazon Marketplace from time to time but for 200$! (or €, don't remember.)

Wow. That's quite a difference - here it costs 199 PLN ~ 60$ ~ 45€.
The longer I read this thread, the more I want to get it... [Will save DC 26]

Hah, I'll think about it.
I have decided not to get the game, i'll wait for the superior sequel. Still thanks for the offer Weclock, you are a cool guy!
Well, I think Ubisoft must be pleased with the way this is selling. I've never seen a new release fly to the top of the bestseller list this fast. Currently only Duke Nukem himself is able to withstand the onslaught.
I'd rather see Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra and Might and Magic: World of Xeen. GOG doesn't seem to be doing too very well in the classic RPG department.
