you can say whatever you want, the first Heroes game IS a classic. I'm also pretty sure we're going to get the sequel as well... and when we do, there's going to be a weekend bundle 25% off! (am I right, dear GOG? ;)
Nice, I like this 'introductory price' idea :)

scharmers: This and HoMM 2 should have been released together at $5.99 (and the price should have stayed that way). Why? Because you can still pick up HoMM 3 complete for $10 shrinkwrapped, and HoMM 3 is pretty much the best of the series.

Well, you're lucky to say so. I've personally never even seen 3 for sale, and certainly not nowadays. They're certainly not actively selling it, which makes me think all these shrinkwrapped copies everyone's boasting about are dust-collectingly old, so of course they're cheap.

Here in eastern Europe we have in shops a bundle called "platinum edition" that has HoMM 1 + 2 gold + 3 complete, and it's very cheap. Also we have HoMM 4 "Complete", another bundle with 4 + two expansions.
Both are very affordable, that's why for me a 10$ tag only for HoMM 1 seems a little bit to much.
I bought HoMM 3+4 Complete (with all expansions) a couple of years ago for around $12.99. I've since lost the DVD, though.

I suppose you mean this bundle.
It's still available for sale around here.
Yet another addition to my collection. Used to play lots of HOMM2 with friends on hotseat, hope we get that one too soon. =)
Yeah, I hope so too. I'd pay $5.99 for HOMM 2 simply to get the CD-soundtrack. :-)

vangordon: I only wanted to buy Heroes, ended spending over 20$, gog is ruining my monthly budget. And im not even angry. Its so weird.

Love doesn't have to make sense.
Everyone buy it at $6 and noone at $10 so we can show Ubisoft how to do business. Heh.

Yeah, those sound like pretty good deals!
Good luck on that, chautemoc.

I think I have a little fix for you then. It has messed up tags and it's only 128kbps but hell... It's free!

It's being actively sold in Poland. Coincidentally, by CD Projekt, which also owns GOG.
Damn, I'd forgotten how hard this game was. Saving every move !
By the way, this is a recent edition of the whole HoMM series, 1 through 5, released in Poland by CD Projekt:

2 DVDs with all 5 games and expansions, 3 soundtrack CDs, extras CD, hardcover manual, hardcover artbook, bestiary book, poster, tarot deck with HoMM art and a t-shirt.

Hey, thanks. That's not bad at all. :-)
