This time we’ve got an Atari classic for you guys. Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge, the sequel to the successful Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, is available on GOG.com for only $9.99.

You are John Cooper, after dealing with El Diablo in the last installment of the franchise, your little brother, Marshal Ross Cooper, has been killed by an outlaw called “Angel Face” and it’s your duty to avenge him! It’s time to re-unite with your pack of old friends, gather some more help, and start investigating the whereabouts of the killer. This time the game is rendered in beautiful full 3D, giving you the choice between the old isometric camera view or total freedom over how the camera views the action (including a over-the-shoulder third person perspective camera setting that follows your chosen character). The new camera makes the game more accessible to everyone, giving you an easier time while maneuvering between buildings or while engaged in a shoot-out. The campaign is divided into several challenging missions, in which you'll need to use your wit and your different characters' special abilities. Kate can charm her enemies, for example, while Sam snipes them from afar with his trusty ol’ Winchester rifle). Most of the missions let you choose a variety of avenues of approach for each of objective given. [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/desperados_2]Desperados 2 is still a combat-oriented game, so if you don’t have a good idea how to beat the mission in the stealthy way, try the hard way and just get in there guns a-blazing!

Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge is available DRM-Free on GOG.com for only $9.99.
decent game, but most def not worth 9.99$.
Never enough western games. Don't think I've played this one before
Looks like a fun game and series, but will wait for it to go on promo...
i had a feeling this might show up since it's already available DRM-free at GamersGate, and Steam offers it as well, with no additional DRM.

but, GoG, you should really start announcing your plans to take up more games of a series. i already picked up Helldorado (a.k.a. Desperados 3) on Steam. if that games makes it to GoG as well, I'm unlikely to buy a second copy. luckily i didn't pick up Desperados 2 last week when it was on sale on both Steam and GamersGate...

nice one! wishlisted
I don't like westerns that much so I'll probably pass.
This is when they screwed the series with 3d. Fun game but most of the charm died in it. Although it's worth getting, but Desperados 3: helldorardo is really bad from what I've heard.

Prydeless: Awe, I guess that's the end of the EA batch. Good release though.
avatar
dquadros: Not so sure about that. The current batch has run uninterrupted so far?

Also there are only 20 EA titles in the catalog, I remember reading that it would be 25.
Well I wasn't keeping count of the recent releases and they've released 5, which is what I consider a batch as far as these EA releases go. If there are 25 announced, that means 5 titles in the next batch whenever that may be.
Believe it or not yesterday morning I was actually thinking about this game (being missed out on the GamersGate giveaway the other month), then suddenly "puff" it got released in the evening. DRM-free too... Definitely wishlisted! :-)

Then, yes.. GoG can read our minds. I was also doing it (read my post above).
Gotta love that cleavage.

I see what you did there.

ZapMcRaygunn: Interestingly enough, both EA batches ended with an Origin classic.

RafaelLopez: Yeah, but then it seems they're really focusing on releasing lots of Origin classics, more than from other devs.

There's a good amount of Bullfrog games here too, but outside of Dungeon Keeper I only care about Syndicate (which last I checked they won't be releasing) and Theme Hospital...
Probably no Syndicate at this point, but Theme Hospital is a definite possibility I imagine. Also, I feel there will probably be at least one more Sim City here soon.

As for focusing on Origin, it makes sense since Origin made so many classics. And I'm sure you're not too overly disappointed in last Tuesday's release, judging from your AVATAR. :)
