Hope nothing 'bad' happens because of this in terms of the show.

This is why they say 'Don't try this at home!'

Given the timing and how long it takes to do editing and post on a typical show, we probably won't see the actual episode until summer of next year. Assuming they even release it at all.

Considering all the crazy stunts they do, it is no surprise that something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. I'm just glad no one got hurt.
"Don't try this at home."

"We're what you call... 'experts'."

Uh, right. Entertaining show but something like this was only a matter of time. Only dumb luck prevented this from being tragic.

They did that 50 times before this happened. Talk about pushing their luck.
Well, that makes it about a 2% chance of almost killing someone. I'd be out of business, or in prison, if my odds were that bad.

Don't get me wrong - the explosions are fun to watch. A couple of my favorites are the cement truck and the water heater (I can't get enough of that water heater rocketing up in the sky). Coming a close second are those rocketing cars into the immovable wall.

The sample is much too low to have any statistical significance.
I arbitrarily boosted the sample size since they claim to be "experts". : D

Apparently the show won't be going off air. yay. wonder whether they:
a) retest the myth
b) show this attempt
b) change somehow the show

and i bet in 30 years or so they will be claiming it is myth too as the way cannonball traveled is too absurd to be true.

From Adam Savage's twitter

"It's true, a cannonball got away from a Mythbusters experiment in Dublin, CA. Nobody hurt thank goodness. Jamie and I toured the damage."

"Now it's back to SF, to meet and discuss how to keep this from ever happening again. Very intense. We're SUPER relieved no one was hurt."

"We will NOT be including the cannonball mishap in the episode. That just doesn't seem right to us. You know?"

shame. hopefully it will be shown someday. unless they were cracking jokes after misfire.
I think they should show this. They tell many times on air "you should not try this at home", now they would have some living proof WHY. But maybe the people inflicted with this don't want to be on tv?
Good that everything is settled, nobody is hurt and security will be tightend to make sure things like this never happen again (yeah, sure :P )

Nevertheless, so many episodes and this is the first serious accident, it proves how much proffesional they are. All these explosions, cannonball tests , etc. etc.
