Cormoran: I am disappoint.

I was expecting a Pong/Mortal Kombat crossover.
Oh good, I'm not alone.

tinyE: The 'classic debate' reminded me of this little freeware gem. Yes it's stupid as hell but I still think it's a nice tribute to the one that started it all.

WOW! I never expected to see that one again. I remember randomly downloading that some time back in the '90s. It seemed pretty funny at the time.

Randalator: b) They could have called it Mortal Pongbat and didn't?

grimwerk:
No. THAT's a portal-mongbat! (great one, grimwerk!)

There was actually such a thing, think it was called 'Blood Pong' or something.

I played it on an early 2000s Mac; was on a Macworld magazine free disc, shareware possibly. Was basically Pong, but with selectable bats that were basically Mortal Kombat fighters, had the voices and everything, and the special moves, oddly enough. Probably a lot of asset theft going on there, but hey ho, shareware :D
Hu ? ..... I expected something more ... like a Mortal Pongat, with Baballity and all.

Ah! Someone agrees. It could have been da bomb.

HomerSimpson: Me, too. I was picturing Sub-Zero and Raiden frantically working Atari 2600 paddles and then some cool fatality when one of them scored a point.
Hahaha. That wasn't exactly what I had in mind with the thread title but it sure paints a good picture.
