Gavindale: I have found quite a few games I want to buy and download from GoG.com, but those games require DosBox - I dont know enough about DosBox to make a decision about whether to buy the games or not. I'm just afraid of viruses, my computer crashing, things that will harm my computer, etc. Anyone's thoughts?
DOSBox is completely safe, and it comes pre-configured with all the GOG.com releases that require it. So all you have to do is buy (or redeem) a game, download it and run a simple installer. Afterwards you can play the game.
The most common settings can be changed via a small app prepared by us (it's bundled with the installer), so you most likely will never have to edit any configuration files on your own.
We like to keep it simple whenever we can. :)
