Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics and Sacrifice have appeared on Steam's coming soon page.
Interesting to me these titles would be moved over to Steam after so long being GOG exclusives in digital downloads, as far as I know.
Just reporting it as a curiousity.
Well, brick and mortar stores are selling those games in versions that work on Windows Vista already, so I don't see why it wouldn't get moved to Steam.

There is already a thread about it on Steam forums.

A little curiosity: most of posts comparing Steam's offer with GOG's offer (which logically favoured GOG) were deleted by mods. Understandable gesture, but they still can't hide who is better.

steam mods really dislike gog.com =((
some valve's staffs don't bore about that, its mods tyranny =(
i just need carmageddon titles... on gog or steam =)
I have noticed that both Steam and GamersGate are adding more and more older games. GG recently added a bunch of games from Gremlin, including Normality.
So the pressure is mounting for GOG, I suppose. Perhaps it's time to respond by releasing more games per week?

How many of those older games are actually good?? At least GOG doesn't put out games that are total dogs...well, not yet anyways :D.

Quite a few of them, actually...
Edit: One thing to remember here is that as of right now, a large amount of the games on GOG can be found elsewhere as well. Interplay has so far been a major exception, where GOG has been just about the only option.
Just look at how well Fallout always sells here - it's always in the top ten, mostly it's in the top five. What will happen when GOG's most trusty moneymaker is on Steam as well?
So GOG will need to respond to this somehow. I don't envy them, TBH, because I am sure they're tearing their hair out trying to get companies like LucasArts to sign up here. I just hope they'll come up with something, because given the choice I want to buy all my retro-games here (no DRM, extras, et.c.).

Yeah, but it involves me touching STEAM, and I won't get the nice US dollar prices anymore and will have to pay in Euros to basically rent the game ...no thanks.
With Fallout 3 being a success, all the big stores had the Fallout pack of Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics for $19.99. Not tremendously more expensive, but there it was. I don't see why there needs to be so much fighting with the Steam camp and GOG (and vice versa), why can't there be a dozen online stores?

As I said, there's GamersGate as well. They have a surprising amount of retro games on sale. Many are also found here (like the Simon the Sorcerer trilogy), but they've got a bunch of stuff there which isn't on GOG or anywhere else for that matter.
(as for the euro/dollar thing, I've noticed that Steam has been getting a lot better in that respect, and quite often the euro prices are reasonable compared to the us ones)

WIN!
Retarded pricing @ Interplay.

A higher price with less content. Amazing deal!
If I didn't already own all three of the Fallout games and I was just considering buying them now, I would buy them on GOG, not Steam.
costs more than gog, no extras, STEAM SUPPORT and no broader selection? FAIL
