Hey, I recently started to live with some new people (as in they are living in the house I'm renting) and we had to switch over to a new router when they moved in. The problem is that since then the internet has been terrible and it takes roughly 5 mins to load google some days... other days it's totally fine.

I'm looking for a bandwidth monitor that allows me to see how much of the bandwidth is being used by each person on the network, and not just one that monitors mine. I want to do this to see if it's just our internet provider, our router, or that the new roommates are breaking the connection by downloading a shit ton of stuff. (for reference they are paying all-inclusive while I pay the majority of the internet bill) I'm not looking for a program that tells me what they are doing or anything like that i just want to know if someone is ruining the connection for everyone else.

Does anyone know of a program that is free (or has a trial) that can allow me to do that? All the one's I have seen so far only show my usage which doesn't help because I know that already.
Not really, it would have to either be installed on all of the computers or it would have to be a feature of the router. Anything else is going to have issues.

Not to mention that you run into ethical problems and possible wire tap problems if you're not careful about the way it's handled.
you could sniff the network for packets but thats an invasion of privacy... the other option is to "accidently" drop the other connections 1 by 1 for a minute and see what that does to the connection..
Yeah I was trying to say that I don't want something that tells me what they are doing, just something that tells me how much of the bandwidth they are using.
Look in the manual for the router itself. Some of the units will track this info for each assigned IP address, no additional software required.
